

A celebration of life is planned for December 10th at 11:00 AM at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1200 Marquette Ave, Minneapolis, MN. Mark Wilkowske and the medical staff of Park Nicollet and Methodist Hospital for their exceptional and compassionate care. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Dawn L Martin, daughters Sarah Lehman and Laura Lehman, sister Deborah (Dennis) Barcz, brother Bradley (Sally) Lehman, sister Lisa Lehman, sister Robin (Mike) Nyffeler, aunt Rosemary Lehman, as well as many nieces, cousins and dear friends. Greg is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth Lehman, and son, Robert Spencer Lehman. A man of deep faith, he was a longtime active member of Judson Memorial Church. Greg lived his life fully aligned with his heart, extending warmth and kindness to all. With a gregarious personality, quick wit, and ready laugh, he was an upbeat storyteller at social gatherings. Greg was an avid reader, concert and theater goer, movie buff, and devoted Packers and Badgers fan. Greg had a contagious passion for music and couldn't let a day pass without singing or playing guitar. He looked forward to annual Boundary Waters fishing trips, loved the North Shore, and so enjoyed travel. A wonderful father, he reveled in family time at his cabin in northern Wisconsin: teaching his children to fish and water ski, exploring the Chequamegon forest, and captaining sunset pontoon rides. Greg loved spending time outdoors, especially with family and friends.

Young Physician of Excellence Award by the Park Nicollet Foundation. In 2020, Greg was awarded the prestigious Earl G. He also loved to teach and mentored numerous younger partners and students. Greg worked tirelessly to help improve patient care, with a focus on reducing diagnostic error. He provided decades of service and leadership, and chaired/participated in numerous committees including Chair of Medicine for Methodist Hospital. Respected for his critical thinking and exceptional diagnostic skills, Greg was frequently consulted by colleagues on challenging cases. Greg enjoyed a 40-year career as a primary care internist and considered it a privilege to care for his patients. The practice of medicine was his calling, and he was a healer in the truest sense of the word. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for undergraduate education and medical school. Greg was born in Elkhorn, WI to Robert and Elizabeth Lehman. Greg was a distinguished and highly regarded physician with the Park Nicollet Clinic, recognized for both his medical expertise and compassionate patient care. Age 68 of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 8th at Methodist Hospital.
